My Story
Hello!! I'm Latayvia Childs, co-owner of True Elegance Beauty Salon and I'm glad to share a little about myself. I'm a wife and mother of 5 wonderful children. I have always dreamed of doing something great. I thank my Lord and Savior Jesus my dreams are starting to live. I was inspired to start my own business and hair line because I love what I do and I wanted to be able to provide quality hair to my clients at a reasonable price. I've been doing hair sense I was 12 yrs old. I've always had a passion for things of beauty like hair and makeup. I have great goals and am really excited to make my brand prosper. Hello! I am Yiasa Whitney co-owner of True Elegance Beauty Salon
I am a wife and mother of two. I have always had the love for hair since I was a little girl. I grew up around family and did others hair as a side hustle. I knew in my heart that I wanted more than just a side hustle. The love of hair became my passion. So, I went to school at Empire Beauty School while still working full time. I did what was necessary to make it happen. I graduated and then left my job at Elgin Mental Health Center after 10 yrs. of service to follow my dreams. I can say that I am living in the reality I dreamed about as a little girl and you can too.
